Detective Chinatown 3 Final Pre-sales

Friday - ¥674M on 171k shows

Saturday - ¥174M on 152k shows

Sunday - ¥89M on 104k shows

Total - ¥937M ($145M)

Absolutely ridiculous numbers. Taopiaopiao has it even higher with ¥690M OD. Already the 2nd biggest opening day after Endgame, will beat it by morning.

Expecting ¥1Bn opening day, with optimistic expectations of ¥1.1B.

Saturday numbers are crazy as well. Expecting ¥2.65B ($411M) weekend, with optimistic expectations of ¥3.25B ($504M)

Friday - ¥1000-1100M

Saturday - ¥800-950M

Sunday - ¥850-1200M

Total - ¥2650-3250M

Ok first time checking, it's 0.68M sales T-1 day. That's roughly 17% of last non-Frozen II WDAS film i.e. Wreck it Ralph 2. UGH. Roughly 15% higher than Soul.

If it don't improves, may be 5-6M OD. Give it a great WOM, may be 45M ($7M) weekend. Normal WOM in piracy times, 25M ($4M) weekend.

So yeah, pretty terrible.

GvK very good start to pre-sales. Will be closing in at ¥5.75-6M at end of day. Can't remember any major film starting pre-sales on Monday

FWIW pre-sales will be par TENET T-3 days, despite TENET selling for 5 days.

Tomorrow will give better indication on where pre-sales heads, but I am expecting ¥40-45M final pre-sales.

Excellent start for the day. ¥8.05M at 12:30, adding ¥1.9M in last 3.5 hours or so. Should easily be ¥13M plus at end of day, may be even ¥14-15M. Better than the target I set for it at ¥12M.

14:00 - ¥9.2M

Roughly ¥750K run rate. Really good. ¥15M shouldn't be hassle. Probably ¥16M.
