Paramount money is cheap change for Bay, his Hasbro contract though.

Read on Forbes that he will eventually become a billionaire thanks to the toy contract he has with Hasbro.

He has a contract with Hasbro?!?!? What? Why?

it is an average opening period. A movie with two of America's most well known heroes should be opening closer to 190m.

I dunno, everyone has their own expectations and they use that to determine whether this is "good" or not. Just look at the early posts in Excel's club. A lot of people were projecting 150-180 very early on.

But, but TDKR had Bane.

Which lead to Mad Max having Mad Max - which thankfully did not hurt the movie. Which we have to thank Meredith Vickers for I guess.

Well, that's a lot of whiches.

The toys Cjohn, it s all about the toys.

Everytime a poor mum buys a Transformer to her kid, Bay gets money, not much probably but in the end, he ll become a billionaire.

Some sites say Bay is already worth 430m.

He gets money from the toys?!?!?!?

That is one nice contract he has. I bet Snyder and Marvel directors don't see a dime from the merchandise WB sells.

I realized after I wrote it that probably there's not as much difference as I was thinking... but the predominant view among the more pessimistic here was that BVS wouldn't have the walk-up strength of a Marvel tentpole (since traditionally they're very strong in that regard).

Oh ok, did not know that.. I thought holiday on Friday would give BVS the edge.

Bay & Snyder should co direct a movie together, written by Roland Emmerich.

This would destroy Force Awakens WW total easily.

This is a movie the world needs in those dire times.

You know you and me would both be there to witness on the first available show.

Sell it in 3D and put so many explosions in it that the whole audience literally explodes as well.
