If not Eternals, bring Thor 4 on Christmas 2021. Anyhow, how idiotic is putting film on 7th/8th May, leaving April last week holidays in various countries and May day. For the biggest box office brand, Disney always fucks up MCU release dates.

This is so true. MCU movies always get bad releases dates. Star wars and now avatar are the ones who get the good one in december.

MCU is getting bad release dates from beginning.

May is not the prime time for movies. June and July are.

Beginning of November is not prime time for movies either.

MCU movies are always given mediocre release dates by Disney.

Avatar maybe. I don't see SW moving off Dec unless merchandise sales tank.

The Mandalorian has single-handedly saved Star Wars merchandise sales. And it's not just Baby Yoda, the Mandalorian himself has been a very popular seller, as have some other characters from that show.

So this comes out just a week before Bond film. I seriously think the Bond producers need to move up their movie to be the first big spy action film of the year. Like mid October release.

I doubt that’s gonna happen, they just want to release it on November 20th and are waiting on GvK to move back

I've actually wondered about this for a long time. Is there a reason why big event movies are usually released in May? You have Memorial Day weekend but it doesn't seem like that big of an advantage when compared to summer weekdays or (especially) December legs.
