In a big milestone, the Warner sequel has hit $200M internationally. Working as another example of summer counterprogramming for the studio, the pic added $3.9M in 60 markets this weekend. Mexico leads at $20.3M followed by the UK at $15M and Korea with $13.5M.

In Indonesia, Valak and The Warrens (hey, band name idea!) have attracted more than 4.3 million ticket buyers.

Where did you get that data? It's in line with the data reported by the numbers. According to that site, it made more than $11m in Indonesia. That's like the 7th biggest movie of all time and biggest horror movie ever by far. It made more than Jurassic World and Star Wars! And I think it's  the 3rd biggest movie this year so far after CA:CW & BvS. Somehow The Conjuring series is very popular here.

It WAS derived from that number, 11.3 million to be exact.

Pick the exchange rate and the assumed average ticket price. If you use USD 1 = IDR 13.5k and IDR 35k average, you would come to that number.

If you use 13.1k exchange rate and 45k average ticket price, then about 3.29 million attendance.

Humongous numbers by any means.

On a side note, 2016 is also a very good year for local movies, 7 titles now achieved more than 1 million attendance.

Ah I see. And yeah, good year for local movies. Among those 7 titles, 2 are over 3 million attendance. I think it's already a record for most local movies above 1 million attendance in a year. And the total attendance for local movies also almost beats last year's number. With 5 more months to go.
