Wouldn't mind seeing this (for free) when I go back to town next weekend. Probably won't pay for this though lmao

If it's decent, I'd pay $2-3 to see it...figure that will be $2/Tuesday at the discount theater right before Christmas or maybe a BOGO deal at a 1st run one (if Disney or the online chains decide to put a code out)...

I really don't think this will go under 20. An opening similar to Christopher Robin seems likely, but I'm finding it really difficult to gauge audience interest in this project. The trailer has been out for nearly a year, and it seems like a big enough movie that awareness will definitely be their for kids due to Disney's targeted marketing.

In reality, I wouldn't be shocked at this breaking 30M for the weekend. But I'm definitely not expecting it.

Disney's definitely been heavily promoting this (digital billboards are all over the highway at the moment), albeit not where the BOT crowd would look for the most part (they're mainly targeting the "girl/mom" audience, which is to be expected for such an inherently girly project). FWIW I have it at $24M next weekend.

what's the budget for this? I can't imagine that OS will care, though, and FB should cut its legs short.

It is this one I think, has for August:

Look like a 132m USD using current exchange rate gross budget, with a 26m tax rebate, will know more next year with the last account.

They'll downplay the budget but it looks expensive to me. At least 130M if not higher. should do better than AWIT though because at least Europe may check it out cause it's a famous story, though the movie barely resembles it.

Main filming ended in Jan 2017 and Johnston did 32 days of re-shoots earlier this year.  Post production should mostly have been done by August

Wrongly phrased by me, the account was made in August but it was covering the spending until 31 January 2018, we will know more next august/September when the 2018 spending will be released.

Could easily add a 12-20m.
