100mil domestic won't mean anything if it flops overseas. The bad reviews are expected. Disney were clearly hiding the film the same way they were hiding A Wrinkle in Time earlier this year.

I don't care about this movie but, anyway, I hope this doesn't kill Mackenzie Foy career.

It won't. She's a teenager. Her career outside of child actordom is just getting started. Maybe it will fail but this film won't be the reason why.

You still gonna support my club though, right?

lol I was kinda contemplating seeing this because I love Disney and Christmas (especially together!) but nope, not now.

This is probably headed for the same fate as Alice Through the Looking Glass. Disney will have no problem sweeping this one under a rug as if it never happened.

She’s getting some nice ink regardless. THR said she was the best thing about the movie.

I can see her snatching up all the ingenue roles Elle Fanning is too old for.

I don't care about Cinemascore ('next time you see a film got a certain CinemaScore, keep in mind that it’s not a measure of the film’s quality or even what audiences as a whole think about a movie. It’s a measure of marketing, and how well expectations lined up with the finished feature.') just including it to get across the point that everything is graded on such a curve. Very few movies have been given a failing grade (F).

I had a faint memory of there being a big-budget Nutcracker flop with Elle Fanning several years ago so I looked it up and apparently Richard E. Grant was in that one too?! Stay away from Nutcracker adaptations, Richard.

That was the one with John Tuturro as the Rat King and the rats were Fascists. Even had a scene where the rats were burning toys, complete with Holocaust-like imagery.

Also had Nathan Lane as Albert Einstein, and this horrifying CG abomination as the titular Nutcracker.
