I will caution everyone that there was a decent chunk of the east coast that could have been out for voting yesterday (hence the really big upswings for Zoo & TJB) so we may see slightly larger drops today.

Anyone from the East Coast able to confirm one way or another?

Uh, what? I'm not quite following this. Why would voting days mean that people go to the movies?

Then again, these are really big jumps. The Wednesday drop might be 30%.

I don't think that alone can explain it. On Super Tuesday (March 1), the gross only went up by 31.2% compared to yesterday's 39.1%, and that was with primaries in states with three times the population than yesterday.

Also, it was only CT, DE, MD, PA and RI. Not exactly a large part of the population there.

Thanks E! Question for you. What is your minimum for inclusion in the chart? Seems to be almost getting out of hand lol.

Hi @narniadis, I generally will only include those movies with a shot at $300 million+, but given that we are looking at a record number of movies at that level, I may in the future just limit it to movies at the $350 million+ level.  But it is always exciting to see those movies which very few to no one thought would do so well such as Zootopia climb up the charts.  Zootopia entered my top charts on Day 17 at the #63 spot and is now #35 on Day 54.  As the days go further I usually parse the number of movies I list down.  For example by Day 80, I only track the top ~30 movies at that point.  But early on, there are a larger number of movies (sometimes close to 70) that are listed) as everyone has his/her favorites they like to follow.
