No one's complaining! They just don't go.

Some people do when I worked at movie theater people always complain even at matinee price of $5. " I remember when a Mantee price was $1 or $2 what happened? Why is it so expensive now."

I'm gonna have to slap myself silly when the damn film, which I saw 600M as the absolute ceiling, crosses a billion in about 2 weeks. It keeps increasing in Japan as well. Incredible run. Not sure if Disney understands the insane potential out of this thing.

I wanna play an open world game to explore the entirety of Zootopia. Get Rockstar to develop it, you have enough money to persuade them :P

Game is not happening because Disney has cancelled all their games and gives no fucks.

But you will surely get a sequel at some point

No, I totally understand that a parent wants their child to have something to eat or whatevs. but I do NOT understand how that equates to buying four massive size popcorns. Going by UK prices (I assume America is actually cheaper), $40 of cinema food is about 7000 calories. Call me arrogant but I'm sorry, NO one needs to eat that much in the space of 90 minutes.

People do that all the time for everything. Go to the bar and you see people get so drunk they can't stand up. They have over 10 drinks. Nobody needs to get drunk. Who cares about the choices other people make when it is not harming others.

Some of my friends with kids the issue becomes more time than money.  They're shuffling their kids off to various activities that it doesn't always leave time for movies

Exactly. I was fully planning on seeing Neighbors 2 and The Nice Guys this weekend but in the end we only could make it to The Nice Guys and ended up not having time to see Neighbors 2 this weekend (or at all, maybe).

Yeah it will cross 1b. That's amazing.

About 19m away right now. Will get 8-9m more dom (~343m) with dollar bump I guess. So just 9-10m more needed OS which it should easily get.

Yeah, we did £3 tickets for kids films on Saturday and Sunday mornings. People would get mad that it had increased from £2. "It used to be £2, now you want me to pay £3 for a fucking kids movie? You're fucking stealing my money"

I'm a little flummoxed by people apparently needing to buy big buckets of popcorn for every single person myself. When I see films with my cousin I just buy one small popcorn and two drinks. That's usually enough to satisfy. Trying to eat all that food seems like a chore and would actually detract from the experience.

I think DoFP did a little below 120M (around 117M) in the same markets so that is very good. China, Japan and South Korea are still left to open later in the Summer.

Spending $40+ at concession is stupid. Unless, I dunno, you're a parent hosting a birthday party for 15+ kids. But the most a family would have to spend is 25 bucks at my theatre. There's this combo that's $25 that has 2 large popcorns, 2 large drinks and 2 bags of candy, but each of those large popcorns and drinks come with refills so you get 4 large popcorns and 4 large drinks. No reason you'd need to spend more.
