baumer
The Canadian holidays always have an effect on Tuesday box office. So I'm sure most everyone knows this but before anyone starts freaking out and claims that Civil War is crumbling or something this is perfectly normal nothing to worry about.
Jayhawk the Hutt
Grimm was right. Good call, I thought the larger Tuesday bumps would counteract the drop from the holiday.
grim22
Civil War continuing its trend of stronger than IM3 Tuesdays. The pattern is pretty clear now, stronger Tuesdays and Saturdays suggesting a matinee audience and cheap tuesday audience.
HeyItsMoses
Once Tuesday numbers come in for the rest of the films, BvS will land in 5th place. Now, I just need 6 more movies...

It'll probably be offset by a slightly smaller Wednesday drop.

Cheap Tuesdays have really taken off in the past year for sure. The Tuesday drops this year are much smaller and there are actually decent increases as well. Next year, if AMC also joins the cheap Tuesdays, then we may actually see Tuesday increases all around, and Tuesday contributing more to the weekly gross. I really hope they do, their morning matinee prices are awesome, pretty much how I see everything that isn't a mega-blockbuster.
narniadis
Well today marks Day 40 for TJB being over 1m and should be the last consecutive day that it happens... and in doing so it passed BvS for #4 on the chart with it's sights on Zoo by the end of the weekend. All around a stronger Tuesday than I had expected. I agree with Grim that the continued spread of "discount tuesday" particularly over the last 12 months or so has really changed the way some things behave.

I got 4 kids and when they all want to go a certain movies. I wail until Tuesday to take them. We have a Regal Cinema near us. On Tuesday, tickets are 5 dollars, free popcorns, sodas are $2 for any sizes, hot dogs are $1. So if I can spend less than $50 for a family of 6 with popcorns and sodas, that's a great deal. Otherwise, I would not take the whole family out without discount Tuesday.

Kvikk Lunsj
The theater under construction by me will do 6 dollar Tuesdays, it's going to be a godsend. Theaters in my hometown are $5 afternoon and Tuesday and $7 evening. Plus there are luxury theaters cost around $12 on the weekends and around $9 for the weekdays. Now in San Diego. Old theaters with no stadium seating cost $10, theaters with stadium seating cost around $13-14 forget luxury theaters.
