I think with Suicide Squad, the Conjuring, and Me Before You (decent, if not super strong), the summer might not be so bad for WB.

Lights Out and Central Intelligence should do very well. Tarzan will be the dud,

Jackie Chan: 'Warcraft' Success in China "Scares the Americans"

Hong Kong action star Jackie Chan extolled the Chinese film industry’s emerging market prowess at the Shanghai International Film Festival Sunday.

Saying that China was overlooked as a “nothing market” for decades, Chan suggested that the world has come to see the country’s entertainment sector in a very different light as of late. He cited the phenomenal Chinese box office performance of Legendary Entertainment’s Warcraftas evidence of the new order.

"Warcraft made 600 million RMB ($91 million) in two days — this has scared the Americans,” Chan said. “If we can make a film that earns 10 billion ($1.5 billion), then people from all over the world who study film will learn Chinese, instead of us learning English,” he added. (As of Saturday, Warcraft had grossed $144.7 million in China over four days, while it opened to just $10.7 million on Friday in North America, where it has been hit with mostly negative reviews)

It's true that some people may be more motivated to learn Chinese if they get more stuff out into the world, but I think the barrier to learn Chinese is a bit more insurmountable than to learn English, just generally.

The Conjuring 2 makes 40 million OW! Alright this makes me happy! It debuted on-par with the original but was just slightly less than the original, $100 million is gonna happen plus I thought that The Conjuring 2 was a pretty solid horror sequel while nothing like the original it is still effective and creepy and well acted. James Wan is the man of horror for this decade. B+

Can we finally end the Jude Law in Supporting Actor nonsense that's been popping up for like two years?

All things considered that's pretty darn spiffy for Conjuring 2 (and by all things, I mean competition, sequelitis, and a slight drop in reception). Should have a nice leggy run, based on that IM. Really feeling a 45+ or even 50 mill breakout for Central Intelligence- marketing has really ramped up, and a high-concept comedy with two of the biggest current draws in Hollywood (The Rock is probably in the top five or even top three of current draws, whereas Will Ferrell had dropped dramatically) just screams hit.
