It's quite remarkable how big this franchise is OS, I was doing a research other day and I noticed that The Nun finished on the annual Top 10 of several countries across LA/Asia, if it had the same advantages of other franchises (3D + China), it would've been grossing around $400m-$450m per movie, just incredible.

Imagine what it could have made if it wasn't so bad

Jesus Christ, it generated more profits for Warner than any DCU outside of WW/AQM, and almost the same of FB1!!! Not a surprise it's an A-list franchise for them, it's profiting like the biggest franchises out there.

It's a bit less than Suicide Squad (almost same, very small difference $158.4 vs $155m), but yeah,  profit from that movie was insane, I think it's bigger than both The Conjuring movies too (which is the main franchise of that universe).

That's exactly what I'm always saying!! People are always saying that The Nun was a massive success (and it was) because it was the highest TCU yet, but it could've been even bigger.

I always follow these movies quite closely at B.O, and I was absolutely shocked that The Nun got the 2nd/3rd best OW of the year pretty much across the whole LA and in several Asian markets, if it had decent WOM it could've been done closer to $500m considering the massive OW it had across the world. That's my biggest frustration with this movie, it had potential to be the big break out of this Universe, the movie that would take it to another level, but Gary and Corin screwed this chance.

Yeah, it was bigger than both TCs, but that's not a surprise considering that Annabelle: Creation also generated more profits than TC2. This happens because Wan/Vera/Patrick gets a nice money from these movie, while these spin-offs doesn't have a high share of participation.
