I think that's pretty close to TS3 drops again?

By Thurs, it'll be holding better than TS3 since it has less competition this July 4th than TS3 did.

TS3 dropped 49% in its 3rd weekend. Dory should drop 35-40% over the 3-day if it follows typical weekday patterns.

Plus, BFG and Dory will likely have drive-ins together (whatever that's worth).

For the new releases:

What a truly horrendous drop for IDR. I mean good god. How pathetic.

I guess thats a decent drop for The Shallows...I don't know. I don't know how that movie is playing out at the moment or what I am even comparing it to.

Free State of Jones......well at least it held better than IDR.

47% drop is fantastic for Shallows @Nova. Usually R rated films fall that softly. This isnt. So I think there's a curiosity factor to it now.

Fuck Dory. Stupid fish.

I think that The Shallows was marketed as if it were an R rated movie. Wouldn't that make a difference? I was surprised when I looked the movie up on imdb,

It was always marketed as PG13 though. At the end of its ads it would say PG13. You can assume its Rated R, but from watching the previews I never got the sense it was rated R. I mean most of the previews were Blake Lively chilling in a bikini on a rock and the shark leaping out of the water.
