Oh, you are, but you are the type that lives under a bridge or mom and dad's basement.

Because I don't like the trailer for a sequel to Wreck-It Ralph and think the product placement in it is tacky and annoying?  Whatever suits you best.

God fuck this site.

Which again, proves my point that it's only in there for brand recognition.  How the fuck do Disney princesses tie into the internet?  And even then, they can satirize the internet without name-dropping brands.  They can be creative and use an imaginary counterpart to compare to an obvious real world counterpart.  Sticking real-world brands like Snapchat, Ebay, Google, etc. on there just makes it feel tacky and cheap.  Be creative.

Jesus, imagine if the Internet was around decades ago for WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT?

"Why are iconic characters like Bugs and Mickey cracking jokes together? How does this add to the story or the CHINATOWN riffing plot's politics?"

The characters being in the film is the concept of Roger Rabbit.  The concept of Wreck-It Ralph 2 is they go to the internet, not that there's product placement within the internet.

So Ralph 2 over Grinch?

The Grinch trailer is abysmal marketing. It's been obvious to me since it was released that it could underperform. And the chance for long holiday legs are pretty grim when this movie, Spider-verse, and Poppins all stand in its way afterwards.

I'll trust the opinions of real people and not the angry internet faction.

Are you suggesting we doubt real people love cash grab or that commenting on that nature is insinuating it will not do well financially ?, that generally the complete opposite, Emoticon and Angry Bird were giant success.

Theres a video of a poptart cat shitting a rainbow that has 170M views. That has nothing to do with the internet. There's a video of a baby biting his brother's finger that has 860M views. That has nothing to do with the internet. Logan Paul has 17 million subscribers. That has nothing to do with the internet. They aren't the internet, they're popular because of the internet. The princesses have nothing to do with it, regardless of how popular they may be on it. By your logic, makeup tutorials should be in this movie too since they're one of the biggest "genres" on youtube. Doesn't work that way.

Yes, because we're not real people.

We're the angry ones living in basements because we just spend all our energy hating on Disney, TOG. Having all this anger is just not healthy for us. If we ever want to leave the basement, best we just bow out now. This thread is a lost cause, just let it go before we end up like this guy:

@EmpireCity is a great addition to this site but the guy has absolutely no sense to respond to people, yesterday his attacks on @MovieMan89 in the weekend thread were downright disgraceful and now today this, the amount of times he uses the word 'fuck' to call out people as if he's the only one who knows about stuff and rest of the other people are just blabbering along.Great decision by mods.

Forgive me, I forgot that you are the internet authority here. We need to make sure that Disney consults with you to make sure we are all in withh "internet culture" that target kids for a fucking animation film. :redcapes:

Unfortunately, I don't feel any hype for the Grinch either. Might end up one of Illumination's lowest-grossing movies considering OS markets are unlikely to embrace it at all (Seuss films have usually bombed OS). For all the criticism aimed at WiR2's latest trailer, that kind of self-referential and pop-culture humor will help sell it big time to a much broader audience.

I've enjoyed EC's delivery of inside information over the years but his attitude towards others has become progressively nastier and nastier towards a majority of members. You're not gonna win any arguments by turning to personal insults towards those who disagree with you.
