I think it is more because the early review from Bloody Disgusting calling it a "game changer" was what started the big hype train for Blair Witch. The backlash against the horror sites which gave Blair Witch those early glowing reviews has been particularly harsh this weekend.

Has it? I haven't seen any backlash.

Snowden has been made on a not so light budget of 40m.

~7.75 ow will give it what....~25-30m dom?

War Dogs in comparison opened to 14.7m (also R), looking at ~43m dom on a 45m budget.

It's OS is currently 28m and am assuming when all is said and done it's WW will be 1.8-2x the budget.

How much can Snowden do OS?

Snowden deserves a lot more than this.  Fantastic movie.

I saw it yesterday and found it rather boring tbh. One of those cases where the controversial side of Stone would've been welcomed had he shown up for the party.

About 45% drop on Sun will get Sully to 22 (-37%)

6.6 + 9.3 + 5.1 (-45.2%) = 22 (70.54 cume)

Looking at 135-140 dom imo (3.85-4.00x)

$21M though, right?  I wanted Sully to hit $72M after this weekend and $70M will be tough.

Still, doing great overall.

WB's SUICIDE SQUAD is a fighter--down just -18% in its 7th weekend w/ $4.7M, $313M total.

Clint Eastwood's SULLY survived another weekend on top, as Tom Hanks & Co. scored $22M (-37%), $70M total.
