WB had a good Summer and is now having a pretty sweet September.

Yeah it was a great year for WB. But Superman only laughs 4 times in BVS so Kevin Tsujihara must be fired.

Am I the only one wondering how on earth Snowden is being reported $3M under late estimates? Has to be a goof.

Snowden was the definition of a blah movie. I honestly don't know what happened to Oliver Stone. Perhaps old age has mellowed him.

SS did 4.7 dom (313.8) and 5.8 os (405.1) over the weekend for a global total of 718.9

11-12 more dom and 14-15 more os will give it 745-747 ww.

Has a shot at 750.

Actually the OS total has been updated to 406m, while the WW one is at 719.7m. And yeah, 750m is where it will land.

Suicide Squad's lack of competition:

Preceding Weekends:

July 22-24: Star Trek Beyond, Lights Out, Ice Age

July 29-31: Jason Bourne, Bad Moms

Weekends afterward:

August 12-14: Sausage Party, Pete's Dragon, Florence Foster Jenkins

August 19-21: War Dogs, Kubo, Ben-Hur

August 26-28: Don't Breathe, Mechanic: Resurrection

That lack of competition sure helped Suicide Squad. Unfortunately, it caused enough competition for all the other movies to under perform (except for the smash hit Bad Moms and the two horrors)

Compare that to the amazing competition other CBMs had to face, likely hurting the legs of Civil War for example:

Preceding Weekends:

April 22-24: The Huntsman, Compadres, Hologram for a King

April 29-May 1: Keanu, Mother's Day, Ratchet and Clank

Weekends afterward:

May 13-15: Money Monster, The Darkness

May 20-22: Angry Birds, Neighbors 2, The Nice Guys

May 27-29: X-Men, Alice
