It was far from the first time, even on a FOX movie.  THR notes his disappearing act on Superman Returns & APOC but the rumors of him taking off or being unavailable on set are numerous and go back a long way.  And he just worked on The Gifted for FOX.

i could understand if singer was distracted on set. must be tough to direct while you've also constantly got your eye on every major news publication waiting for that expose.

He's gonna become the next Steven Summers. 

 

He'll disappear but put out a couple million dollar indie genre movie in 6 years then do nothing for another 5 while Directing commercials in Eastern Europe.
