Dracula has been in the public domain since the early 1950's. Calling him Count Orlok was a dramatic decisions probably because they did not want the classic Dracula image baggage.

I’m well aware that Dracula is public domain. That’s why I said that there’s no point in calling the character Count Orlok.

Willem Dafoe already played Nosferatu in a movie before. Wonder if he will be playing the vampire again.

I've a feeling Skarsgard will be Count Orlok this time; Dafoe might be the Van Helsing analogue though.

Totally prepared to double feature this and Sonic 3 next Christmas (though I still think Sonic 3 has a better chance of moving up and being finished sooner than other productions)

So, Universal’s putting out two major releases on Christmas Day?

The Jordan Peele movie is likely headed to 2025 given that there's been no news since it was announced.
