That's the plan. There's a backstory that was hinted at in some of the books [that we expanded]. Also, when you read the book there's a logical place to stop the movie before the book is over

You  can bet that "Lawrence of Arabia" being largely shot in Jordan is a reason why VIllenueve chose to shoot there.

That comes as no surprise. If the 1983 film proves on thing;the story is too big to fit into one movie,even a 3 hour one.

LOTR would be a good comparasion.

Not necessarily, at least if nothing change, it is a big condition and will be waiting on the first one result before starting the second one production.

yes. maybe now they just confirmed it but as far as I remember Brian Herbert confirmed it long time ago.

Anybody who has read the novel knows you can't get the whole thing into one movie..even a 3 hour one.

Trying to do that was one of the big mistakes they made with the 1983 film.
