They could have emphasized the great houses political intrigue angle. But I'm not sure if selling sth as the new GoT would be a wise decision after GoT crashed and burned. Last Man Standing
There are several new pics on that account, but the ornithopters stood out to me, it's just fantastic design.

DInky
I know there are film critics who are upset about this and understandably so.

ThomasNicole
He's talking about critics, still people are pissed with him for his complains. Is ridiculous how a director spend 5 years making a movie, then the studio put it on streaming without talk to him, and he can't even be frustrating about without people attack. The movie will be available at home for free the same day, watch it and shut up. Let him be upset, it won't change the fact the who wants to see at home will watch it. And there's nothing wrong with him asking for at least press watch it the way he wanted when he make. There are vaccines available, by October the big cities will be requiring the shots to make theaters a safe environment, why press are so upset about? If despite all the efforts for make theaters safe some critic still want to review it by home, wait until October 22 and watch it on HBO Max, problem solved. Valonqar
Yep it's about critics cause there's already lots of anger among them on twitter. They say this is an insensitive decision due to rise in delta. So I don't know why DiscussingFilm is vague since it's easy to check the context. Valonqar
Nope. People are sleeping on Dune's boxoffice potential and you are forgetting that it's coming out in Europe in September so no HBO Max there. Venice demand for Dune ticket shows bigger interest than what naysayers believe. Granted, we are talking about festival crowd whose taste is a bit different from an average movie goer, but they were very receptive to Joker (includes winning the Golden Lion) and they are obviously super interested in Dune. So bomb it won't.
