Venice was a mess for reactions in general this year.

ain't that truth. They tried to bury movies that ended up really well received critically. Don't remember who these critics were but they were out of synch with the rest.

That is an EXTREMELY roundabout way to confirm a sequel, but it seems like that's where it's heading.

IMO, WB could only lose if they didn't make a sequel. OS performance should be encouraging enough.

Ever noticed the overt parallels between House Atreides and House Stark too?

Have to disagree

Arya killing WK was just a dumb subversion of expectations that didn't do anything for her character arc but completely ruined Jon's. Also, a child assassin trope like Chloe Moretz in Kick Ass, Saoirse Ronan in Hana. Even if the trope was inspired by Alia it's hard to trace it back to her.

While Alia killing the Baron is WTF in Dune, there's a massive payoff in  Children of Dune.

Guys I need a reaction advice. if it's best movie eva should I say it? And if isn't best movie eva should I say it or should I call it ambitious? :sparta:

Call it ambitious either way. Make it impossible to tell.

Am seeing it tonight as well, really excited.

Oh for gods sake.

These Dune fans are going to make this movie one of those things I’ll be embarrassed to tell other people I enjoyed like Rick and Morty, aren’t they?

whoa this is premiering tonight on HBO instead of tomorrow? word

glad i can watch this from home

Do yourself a favour and watch it in IMAX, if you can. Although the film is far from perfect, It's one of the best cinematic experiences I've ever had.
