Add Jeff Sneider into the pile that didn't like The Big Short and didn't like this either:

 

 

 

btw it's probably important to note that The Big Short started out in the low-60s on Meta and didn't increase for a bit. Re-reading the thread on here, it's funny how so many were sleeping on it.

That't the problem with a lot of movies made by people who want to put across a political message. They are so intent on getting their message out they forget about the basics of making a good movie.

And this has the problem with competing with the Evening news. Will people pay to see a movie about corruption and deception in high places when they can watch the same thing upfolding on the evening news.

As someone who used to use the phrase "style over substance", anyone that criticizes a movie for being "style over substance" shouldn't be taken seriously.
