At work so can't watch the trailer but holy shit at that makeup. I had a lot of time for The Big Short so very interested in this. Funny how the Bush era's brand of political awfulness seems almost quaint today. And by 'funny' I mean 'fucking depressing'.

God, this looks great. Big Short I really liked the direction and writing on it but was mixed overall because of how bad Carell and Bale were, particularly Carell, giving the most overrated performance in the history of these boards. Bale was fine in comparison just a little tic-y and overhyped. So I couldn't really connect. But man this looks good.

 

I wonder if this will resonate enough gain real traction, though. Dick Cheney feels like a million fucking years ago now. Might seem too quaint and unimportant. I for one am very happy about it - the Bush years were lower than low and I don't want Dems to start suddenly feeling nostalgic for these shitheads.
