Check out Tom Holland's recent interview with GQ. They talk a little about box office, the Rock, Gwyneth Paltrow forgetting she is in Homecoming and more. Regarding the Spider-Man situation, he says that:

Quote

I’m not shy about expressing how incredible the last five years have been with Marvel. I’ve truly had the time of my life, and in so many respects, they have made my dreams come true as an actor. The legacy and future of Spidey rests in Sony’s safe hands. I really am nothing but grateful, and I’ve made friends for life along the way.

They made many people’s favourite Spider-Man movies, Spider-man 1 & 2.

What / who are 'Brazzers'...

Based on the reactions I got for that one I looked it up, pornhub is the search engine's result.

Rolleyes (nothing against porn), in how many hours will the weekend's BOs for dom and ww get relased?

Humour =/= shitposting

You are both provocative and unfunny, thus a shit poster

That was humour? Not one laughing reaction yet though.. and that wasn’t even your own joke oh dear.

Didn't insiders report yesterday negotiations are still on going?

Also I'm very bothered but appreciative of Tom speaking so openly about a gay spider-man when we all know that when Andrew said that same thing he got ridiculed.

It just shows how far we've come since 2013.

A slight increase up to 386.09 with actuals.

This movie probably ends up in the 393-394 range. Maybe 395.

But $5-6M is still a healthy chunk to get it up to 400, so will this be the first movie that finally finishes in the 390s?

I think it's safe to assume that discussions are still ongoing.  This could end up being a permanent divorce, but I don't see that we've arrived at some critical juncture (past reshoots and post-production) that would preclude Spider-Man's renewed inclusion in the MCU.

In other words, negotiations aren't dead until we've passed some point of no return.  We can discuss what that is, but neither side benefits by really calling it quits at this point.

Who are "insiders"?  Twitter people?

Unless you hear it from The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, Deadline (and even then), I wouldn't believe anything. None of the trades have indicated that there's any rival studio love happening, at this point.

I mean, we're pretty much at the point where, 6 months from now, Feige could call up Pascal or Rothman or whoever, and say "let's do x", and they could come to an agreement in 1 phonecall.

Spidey was probably never going to be in Black Widow or Eternals or Shang-Chi anyway, so there's really no rush to get things done on Disney's end. It's really more a question of when Sony wants to get rolling on their next Spidey movie, and that could still be six months to a year away.

Apparently Sony confirmed for now whatever that means that MCU won't be a part of the movie. Definitely will still watch the 3rd one but not in theaters. Kinds sucks I expect a shitty pieced together plot that doesn't make much sense.

So SM 3 or As 1/2 again. Sucks for Holland. Thinking 600m ww for #3 movie.

“Spider-Man was fine before the event movies, did better with the event movies, and now that we have our own universe, he will play off the other characters as well,” Vinciquerra said. “I think we’re pretty capable of doing what we have to do here.”

press F to doubt

they used the MCU to popularize and kick start their own franchise lmfao.

Yeah this is going to blow up in Sony's face. Nice work Sony. As I said, most of the audience will stick with what they know: the MCU.

For the 3rd movie with no plot work off of? Yeah I doubt it. Probably will be a fucking disaster.

Think Matrix 3 but much worse.
