If you haven’t seen Endgame by now then tough luck

I guess it's practically made as much as the first Avengers DOM already, and WW it's a beast. I'm surprised Disney is allowing Sony to release this trailer so soon after EG. Or, maybe Sony are just being dicks. I mean, they were already dicks choosing July instead of Nov in the first place.

Multiverse is obviously a way to bring back Tobey Maguire

I’d say it’s more of a way to bring back Chris Evans as Johnny Storm.

That Sunshine, Light, and Joy thread seems to have really worked wonders on you.

https://ew.com/movies/2019/05/06/spider-man-far-from-home-director-breaks-down-that-post-endgame-trailer-exclusive/

For adults and ageless superheroes, a five-year age gap isn’t as big a deal, but when you’re in high school, that’s a pretty major shift. Watts confirmed that Jacob Batalon’s Ned, Zendaya’s MJ, and Tony Revolori’s Flash were all snapped, but some of Peter’s classmates were left behind, and they’re now all five years older.

OK, this answers my question a bit...but still a bit too convenient, I'd say.

Fandango: We don't get to see Laura Harrier or Michael Keaton's characters in the trailer. Are they in the film?

Jon Watts: Keaton is not in the movie, and Laura is not in the movie.

:apocalypse:

WTF.

With a multiverse stuff they can make every Marvel movie canon set in a different universe. Including

- Raimi’s Spiderman

- Hugh Jacksons Wolvering

- Venom

- Xmen

- Blade trilogy

- Deadpool

- Spiderverse

- TASM

- Nicholas Cage’s Ghost Rider

- All the marvel TV shows

Imagine a movie 10 years down the line that brings back every single franchise into a single movie. It will be a spectacular mess but it will make a bajillion dollars.

But not Fant4stic though, F that movie.

TASM did 7.5M true midnights on a Tues before July 4 release in 2012. If FFH had as wide a midnight showing I’d expect at least 12M from it — BUT, at the moment it seem that the true midnights may be happening in a fairly limited subset of theaters. No idea how many that currently have none will add some in the next two months.

That's the thing.

Theaters and audiences have become so accustomed to the 7pm previews, I'm not sure midnights will be as widespread as they used to be.  We shall see I guess..

Why would they bring Antman over to Europe when Peter is already there?

Got my tickets for Wednesday the 3rd. Since the kids are off school I’ll take a day off work and see it then.

Yeah, that could be a real factor. I think a lot of people would be turned off by a school week true midnight in this era, but summer can be more forgiving. No real way to know ‘til we know.

I liked the movie fine enough, but the big problem I had with it (and the MCU version of Spider-Man in general) is that I kind of wish they didn’t have to make Tony Stark a major part of the character’s identity. It makes it feel like he’s a supporting character for Iron Man, which I don’t like.

I don't see an issue with that. Tony Stark, or his father, has played a major part in the back story in several ways. Howard helped create Captain America and provided the shield. Tony built the headquarters for the team, both Avengers tower and the compound. Iron Man kicked off the MCU and has been the central figure, more or less.
