The New Jedi Order, summed up in two sentences:

In the year Jar Jar Binks was introduced to the world, it decided to introduce a bunch of folks with Torture Fetishes who were nigh-unstoppable,  would make Klingons blush with their brutality and where even religious zealots of our world would take a long look at them and go, "Dude.  Maybe take Thursdays off...  You know, to pace yourself".

And, oh yeah, it dropped a moon on Chewbacca.

---

Pretty much tells you everything you need to know where THAT series was headed.

I mean traitor and unfying force are some of the best star wars books. And as weird as some of the old EU got the new novels are almost all trash. And I liked LOTF Jacen was my favorite character

The REAL question is:

Which happens first?  Polar Express crossing 200 DOM or Space Station 3D crossing 100 DOM?

Could go either way.

I just know when I was a kid if I had the choice between an animated musical and an effects laden science fiction epic, the choice would be the latter.

Same. Some of you either had really really lame taste as kids or you're underrating kids in general. I hated anything with singing really badly and thought it was annoying. I remember being subjected to that crap in school and always assumed it was for the girls. Every guy I knew found it painful. And I still hate crap like that, like the girliest lamest movie Pitch Perfect.

Everyone is freaking or over Moanas 30% increase and I'm like over here going it's normal and behaving like it should?? Lol the joys of being newer to box office tracking.

Moana continues to stay neck to neck with TS2 so I think 250+ should be locked

I knew they brought it back a few times but wow had no idea it was every year. Good numbers last couple of years, wtf happened in 2014 on the 10th anniversary? Or maybe that was 2013, the dates are off in one way.

If it follows the current average of the past 8 years, it'll take like 60 years to reach 200M.

Also, Space Station 3D's BOM chart is actually just ridiculous.

1. Taste is subjective, not everyone likes the same things.

2. Guys can like singing and movies like Pitch Perfect.

3. Don't try to shove your "men need to be masculine and women are weak" message down our throats.

I'm so sick and tired of this stereotype that needs to be acted on for society to see it as acceptable. Guys can do ballet, girls can weightlift, straight guys can go to prom with their gay best friend, gay guys can go to prom with their girl best friend, women can be masculine, men can be feminine, guys can cry and be emotional, women don't have to be comforting and dads can stay at home while the mom goes to work. The world doesn't fit in your narrow definition.

Denying the right to feel all emotions and the ability to do whatever an individual wants to do is damaging to the person and to society. People are people and can do or feel whatever the hell they want to.

Second viewing and it was significantly better. Thought Vader's voice was fine this time. Many other things I thought were a problem do not even matter or are even noticeable on second viewing. A certain droid seems to appear in a completely different time frame than how I remembered it. Anyway, it may not be the best Star Wars movie, however, it is my personal favorite.

There were some children present and there was no fussing about the content. They were not bored at all once it got going.

Finally, I think this movie will have the biggest impact on those who have always known about Episode 4 and have watched it dozens of times. Amazing how many details I missed from A New Hope on first viewing.

Great movie especially for fans. The future of the franchise is very bright.

Nobody said they can't! You made some huge political statement about me just saying facts like most BOYS would rather watch Rogue One than Sing. You can say all you want about how it's fine for guys to act like girls or girls to act like boys or whatever else, but that will never change the fact that we deal in percentages and odds. A much higher percentage of guys are interested in action blockbusters and sci-fi compared to girls and more girls are into singing and dancing and romance movies etc. No amount of PC social justice warrior speak will change that guys and girls ARE different.

...but that's not what he said. In fact, there's a key difference between what he said and how you interpreted it.

That's the strongest point of this movie for me.

I have faith in Lucasfilm now after 7 and R1. Really curious to see how the franchise moves forward.  :jedi:

I'm just as comfortable at a football game as I am at a musical.   I can enjoy a 200 million+ special effects laden blockbuster just as much as 10 million indie about two people having conversations.

I enjoy dumb stupid humor like Jackass and Bad Grandpa.  And I enjoy really dry humor like a Wes Anderson film.

The point is it's good to be diverse in what you like.

I know they don't want to talk about Episode 8, but next year can't get here fast enough.

Read what you wrote again and then tell me that's what you actually said. Most guys would choose an action movie over Sing, you are right, but then you added unnecessary comments such as "some of you have lame taste", "I assumed that crap was for the girls", "Pitch Perfect is the lamest and girliest".

You are saying that only you are the key to determining what is good and bad and you are equating bad to being girly. Bad is bad, if you don't like it fine, just say so, but don't add unnecessary comparisons.

Also as Tele just pointed out there is no "acting as girls" or "acting as guys". People are people and this stereotype is extremely damaging.

Anyone know (maybe @Doctor RTH gone Rouge) how to get Top Theatre Engagements specifically for Canada? Or if that's even possible?

When I do list top engagements often do separate top 3-5 Canada, if  anumber of Locations in Canada are already in the initial list then I usuaally don't

all R1

14-CPLX Scotiabank Toronto
(also Playing Dundas & Yonge combined #2)

18-CPLX Banque Scotia, Montreal QC
19-CPLX Scotiabank, Calgary AB

Next

CPLX Scotiabank Vancouver

CPLX Queensway, Etobicoke ON

CPLX Scotiabank Edmonton

overall 2016

CPLX Scotiabank Chinook Calgary
CPLX Queensway, Etobicoke, ON
CPLX Yonge & Dundas, Toronto ON
Y&D last couple years gone way above Scotiabank Toronto, there was one year about even and before that bit of a mix one year Y&D be on top the next Scotiabank combined over last 5 years Y&D wins.
Basically Y&D run a lot more films. When both theatres run same film(either day & date or moveover) Scotiabank is always higher for run of season.

CPLX South Edmonton
CPLX Scotiabank Edmonton
CPLX Vaughan ON

biggest Non-CPLX
Landmark 24, Kanata ON

And Pitch Perfect is awesome.  Because if it's good enough for my Green Bay Packers, it's good enough for me.

Though 2 was kind of eh

In terms of climax the 2nd was a much better payoff to me. I love both though.
