I'm not worried about your Christmas eve drop, it's the 75% increase on Christmas when Sherlock jumped nearly 150%. I could believe 100% since it's making nearly 3 times as much but not half the jump since RO has followed Sherlock quite closely so far.

Sherlock's CD jump was unusually high among all 2005 and 2011 films of that weekend. As I said, that film had a very depressed opening in comparison to the amount of people who clearly intended to see it. We can hardly say the same about R1. If Kong could miss 100% on CD making 4.5m on CE, then R1 certainly could.

2001: The Majestic

2002: Two Towers

2003: Return of the King

2004: Meet the Fockers

2005: Fun With Dick and Jane

2006: Rocky Balboa

2007; National Treasure Book of Secrets

2008: Yes Man

2009: Sherlock Holmes

2010: Tangled

2011: We Bought a Zoo

2012: Les Miserables

2013: The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

2014: Into the Woods

2015: Star Wars: The Force Awakens

2016: planning on Rogue One

I don't see it happening but we'll see.

Rogue Ones run so far, after the gargantuan opening, has really been steady as she goes. No crazy amazing numbers but every number has been consistently good it seems.

Not the jaw dropping spectacle of TFA run from last year, but it's a locomotive that can't be touched on its way to a spectacular $500 million plus and the domestic crown.

Kong also jumped 35.8% on Monday the 26th. If Rogue One follows the Kong percentages every day this weekend, it will get around $99m Friday-Monday assuming $16m Thursday is legit.

He has been talking about KK legs but they weren't bad. Kong increased 15% from 2nd weekend, regardless RO is going to have great legs.

How exactly is it I've never truly noticed Tele's sig before now? When she opened her eyes at me I about fell off the chair.

Christmas is pretty much movie day for all the loners with disposable income

You're still upset that I think Illumination movies suck? Anyone with half a brain agrees.

digression here, but I saw Things to Come last week and it was terrific. Wonder if Elle is even better.
