Avatar 2 is supposed to release a few days before this. 
 

I guess WB feels like the movies can coexist with the holiday date but it seems like similar crowds for these two movies. Will be interesting to follow.

Yeah December 17 for Avatar 2 .. well it is the best holiday season for global box office Christmas + New Year

Surprised they choose December considering Avatar is there unless there's word going around in the industry that the latter's gonna move again (which I suppose isn't impossible).

Either somebody will move or they’ll just coexist. Wouldn’t rule out WB releasing this early in some territories like Aquaman to get a head start on the box office and build buzz (getting it out in China before Avatar 2 would make sense if they both stay in December).

For now yes. If The Flash finally moves forward, 2022 is possible so the second movie could be this and the third could be of the many movies they have in development (Batgirl, Supergirl, New Gods, Shazam 2)

Avatar 2 is fucked just like TLJ got fucked by Jumanji 2. 

 

Disney is anyways terrible at promoting movies that does not already have fans salivating.

What are the implications for Shazam 2’s date? Given the age of actors involved I would think you’d want to get that going sooner ASAP.

It can easily co-exist, does show a sign of confident but also WB want to establish December as their DC slot.

 

I wonder where Sherlock Holmes 3 will go? I'm guessing February or April 2022.

Sherlock and Alvin2 did well along with Avatar. Don't think release date is an issue. Looking forward to this. Looks like it has no substantial overlap or any overlap with Shazam2 so am curious about the latter movie too.

I think Shazam 2 is being written atm, I’m not sure if that new horror movie Sandberg is doing will be before or after Shazam 2. I think they realize they’ll have to move a little quicker for Shazam 2 cause of the kids aging.

I wonder if DC is gonna start promoting this character in comics and cartoons more than he has been. Black Adam was never a huge character which is surprising given how Dwayne Johnson is so dedicated to this role after all these years.
