Terminator: Dark Fate | Nov 1 2019 | Estimated to lose 122.6M

Recommended Posts

Week#1 Domestic is now in the books.

Oct 31 - Thursday previews $2.35 million

Nov 1-7 Fri-Thurs = $35.307 million

Assuming a 50% weekly drop off TDF will be hard pressed to reach $75 million domestic.

I mean I could afford it but I thought the movie was good but not special (like all 7 Jim films)

Serious question here, not poking fun or engaging in fan wars: Why do you think it's performing like it is? I'm asking as someone who hasn't seen it for myself yet (I never go by reviews).

Previous films were bad, perceived as a dead franchise.

Mexican and woman leads

Is a decent action movie with some humour and lots of fan service.

No, but at least Dark Fate managed to win it's opening weekend, which Dr Sleep is failing to do...

A 29 million opening is a horrible opening for a film with 185mil budget and a 100+mil marketing spend. Rank meant absolutely nothing.

At least we’re still on track.

They got the right killer Terminator sheen to them.

Also have the "lie in wait, perfectly camouflaged, before ambushing your human prey" thing almost perfected.

I'd actually watch the next Terminator if it were about these things.
