Max Landis seems to be taking it well so far.

He's asked people to judge him only on the work which he has primary control, and has uploaded the original draft of the script for us to download:

Isn't Landis the only credited screenwriter on this though?

You can be the only credited screenwriter and still not be responsible for most of the movie. WGA guidelines are weird like that. If the studio brings in 5, 10 or even 20 other writers to write one scene each, they haven't contributed enough to get credit. Credit is given based on how much of whose work is in the final script used, so even if one writer's idea is found to be the impetus, he gets the story credit.

Not saying Landis isn't responsible for the issues the movie may have, just that WGA guidelines work in weird ways.

There are some really good episodes of "Scriptnotes" dealing with this which unfortunately are for subscribers only now.

11% on Rotten Tomatoes and 32 on Metacritic.

I fear for McAvoy career, what a drop from Atonement...

:(

McAvoy will be fine. He's fairing much better than Radcliffe in reviews.

Landis lashing out at the Revenant is priceless.'

I think we can safely say that Radcliffe

I feel like Radcliffe is going to be one of those actors who has immunity because he was the lead in a big franchise.

Nah, Radcliffe is one of those actors who people don't give a damn about outside a single role. He is certainly shown himself to be no box office draw outside of Harry Potter; at least Orlando Bloom has the POTC movies to put aside his films as Legolas.

And what else does Orlando Bloom have that stands out beyond those two roles? He's in the same boat as Radcliffe: one or two signature roles/franchises and nothing everything else.

Agreed, but still Landis has a way to go before topping his close friend Josh Trank when it comes to slitting your own throat via twitter.

Bloom has nothing but a list of bombs outside the Middle Earth and POTC Franchises. I absoultely agree that Radcliffe and Bloom are in the same boat;only difference is that Bloom did have some sucess with the POTC franchise (thouhg, of course,he was riding the coattales of Johnny Depp with POTC) but Radcliffe has Potter and that is it. But agreed, both are worthless are box ofice draws on their own.
