Also, I wonder if the Dec 25 rumours pan out because I don't see IMAX making this public this far out if they didn't nab opening weekend as opposed to an LLL-style 'special engagement'. In limited release markets (NY/LA) it couldn't get those screens on Xmas day because Alita/Aquaman

Depends how much Fox wants to push this for Oscars. Widows is more than likely their #1, especially with the festival push (though obviously AD Astra has VFX work that wouldn't be done in time for them)

I thought it was announced a while ago that it was gonna get a qualifying release in December but apparently not yet. FWIW Hidden Figures wasn't given a qualifying release until about two months before it opened if I remember correctly.
