It seems like good counter-programming to me. It's not like it was ever going to open to huge numbers but it should be able to carve its own little niche on that weekend.

Shouldn't the Lego movies be considered a medium rather than a franchise? Just like how animation and live action are 2 mediums for telling a story.

I'm a bit disappointed with the LEGO Batman numbers. Even though $ 53 million is a good OW, it was far below expectations.

Numbers were released this late yet WB didn't manage to squeeze out something from somewhere? Eh.

 

I mean, it's good still for a spin off that is, but certainly a disappointment comparing to expectations around here. 

 

Awesome for Keanu vol.2. I hope it can leg out to 100M. Gonna be hard for a sequel but we'll see.

 

And as I said sometime before, Darker gonna be putting up some great number over Valentine Day for sure.
