50SD would be falling from the Friday minus previews as most people predicted, wouldn't call that a particularly good hold. Maybe around 17M would have been great.

That's a good hold for 50 Shades all things considered. I wouldn't be surprised if John Wick makes more than 10M; it was easily outselling 50 Shades at my theater. John Wick wasn't that full either; only about 160/230 seats were filled.

23 maybe isn't impossible, RTH can be off if evening/west coast picks up but given how it performed yesterday relative to projections, I wouldn't count on it. 24 would be pretty unlikely

So, a best case scenario Saturday and implementing a Lego Movie drop on Sunday would make it...

 

Fri. - 15M

Sat. - 23M

Sun. - 16M

 

Would get its weekend total to 54M.  Let's say it does a 3.5x, then its final sum would be 189M.  Oof.

Based on 50SD, I think it is safe to say that Valentine's Day added about 18-20M to 50 Shades of Grey's OW. Wouldn't be surprised with a 15+M VD for 50SD.
