I enjoyed it, it seems to be aiming at the kind of humor that was great in the first. Hopefully the pretty bland Ninjago won't have diluted the franchise too much in the eyes of the GA.

Agreed. Trolls and SOTW were good, Shrek 4 was tolerable and Sky High is nostalgic for me.

yeap. He directed Trolls - which is THE most annoying dreamworks film to date. He directed Shrek 4 - the one seriously bad shrek film. He directed the live action part of Spongebob movie - i.e. all the bad bits of that film. It's not reassuring. That being said animation directors can be really uneven with their movies.

I know but I havent seen that so can't judge so didn't mention it. He also directed Sky High which wasn't terrible tbh
