DAJK
Strange to think that there hasn't really been anything mind blowing visually this year. Last year had Jungle Book, Rogue one, 2014 had Interstellar, 2013 had Gravity...

SLAM!
A lot of aspects of Valerian's visuals are aesthetically intriguing in my opinion. If anything is truly that bad, then either I missed some sort of memo, or the casual side of me is being overly forgiving. But to me, much of it was beautiful. titanic2187
1) Blade runner 2049 2) SW: TLJ 3) Apes 4) Valerian 5) the shape of water
Ezen Baklattan
The monster effects in Shape of Water seem more practical than computer generated (which would likely guarantee a Best Makeup win), but I’m not sure what that means for this category. I think the noms will be BR2049, TLJ, Apes, Ragnarok, and Shape of Water (I know what I just said lol)

The Panda
I think the last spot is between WW or Dunkirk SW, Apes, Shape and BR2049 should be in (although maybe they snub SW or Apes in favor of WW? I'm doubtful but it's possible) Edited December 8, 2017 by The Last Panda
