I'd be more into this if Lau from TDK was the main character, finding himself in jeopardy in yet another skyscraper 10 years later @MrPink. With Morgan Freeman providing wisecracks in a supporting role.

#OriginalFilmmakingLives, yep, the totally original story of The Rock saving his family from something.

The building looks cool but the rest doesn't look special.

Donnie Yen turned down a role in this. I think it might have been Chin Han's role. But it is not re-written to be character without action scenes as Chin Han is not an action star.

Heard from some insiders that the Chinese may not like it, it will be good if DJ works with a Chinese star to save a Chinese building..

This is becoming like Great Wall where a foreigner goes to China and help to save an important infrastructure.

Btw.. QingHan is Singaporean, not a China Chinese..no1 in China knows him. He cannot even speak Mandarin well..

China could care less about that. They like it.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure its been confirmed that China loves its Foreign stars. That's part of the reason that Matt Damon was cast in The Great Wall. If anything Dwayne's presence in the film should help its box office in China.

Well,I really liked this movie when it was called "Die Hard".

It s been 84 y ...30 years.

An unofficial remake with the action star of the moment makes sense.

Yeah like US didn't mind Arnold Schwarzenegger or Van Dam saving the day, when you have your own local industry turning away blockbuster all the time, staring Chinese actor getting released every month, I imagine it is not even a subject of conversation.

Is this movie gonna be R rated?

I would guess not with the family audience they may want. Most likely PG-13 like F&F. Jumanji also was a family film and DJ might want to retain some new fans he has.
