baumer
WTF for Journey 2?Gnomeo and Juliet had the same increase on the same weekend last year.http://boxofficemojo.com/daily/chart/?sortdate=2011-02-12&track=bieber3d.htm
Bitcher
WTF indeed, I had it pegged as a flop and it seems to be doing great business. I have a feeling GR2 will also exceed my expectations by a wide margin. At least I can say I made those predictions before it became apparent that BO has rebounded. CJohn
Fantastic for Journey 2. It may crack the 100M with some good legs and no competition until The Lorax. Edited February 12, 2012 by CJohn
baumer
Sometimes you just have to look at history to get a better understanding of why films do what they do. Just Go With It went up 40% on it's first Saturday.

If Lion King hadn't made 30 mill, then no one would say anything about this. Beauty and the Beast made 17 mill OW, so it's a fine number.

CJohn
A couple of months ago. The majority thought that SW3D would win (I actually had it at 2nd place just behind Journey 2). Almost nobody had them behind The Vow and Safe House.
