I don't know for story of the century, the genre has a lot of competition in incredible run, for example the 450K paranormal activity:

And theat franchise in general, the Saw franchise did something quite extraordinary too

GO has already surpassed any Saw or PA film, even after inflation.

Yes, but it will not turn into a franchise and costed much more, it is certainly up there, but I'm not sure it is clearly the horror phenomenon of the 2000's or the story, the first Saw movie had a bit more story behind it, first major release to use porn magazine and website for marketing for example.

Its been a great March, but March next year is starting to look very weak. Meg moved to August and the Fox-Marvel film won't make its release  date there. Wreck it Ralph 2 is the only film guaranteed to be a hit, and even that won't make much more than the original. February 2018 is actually  looking stronger.

Deadpool 2 could make it. If they wanted too

It cost $4.5 million.

Yeah I imagine ratio is a bit useless once you consider releasing cost, 450k or 4.5 million is not that important.

Just saying that a 450k that spawn a giant printing money franchise is certainly up there in term of horror box office story of the 2000's.

Same for SAW, specially that Saw was not distributed by a studio (and in 2004 Liongates was really not big and had to be really creative in marketing)

Some news for PR fans that might help it's OS. It has been cleared for a China release in April..

"Sources tell THR that Lionsgates' Power Rangers also has been cleared for an April release, and state distributor China Film Group is currently working on dating."

It's on the bottom of this article.

90 will be a 43.2% drop for BATB from OW-previews (158.4).

Similar drop next weekend will give it a 3rd weekend of 51.

Mon-Thu should add a little over 30. So it's pretty much a lock to cross 400 next weekend itself.

Am I  the only one who think everyone would win if studios work together to spread there movies across the calendar instead of choking each other off.
