WrathOfHan

Suburbicon | October 27, 2017 | Trailer on Page 2

A screening happened recently. Cliffs based on tweets and a user on Awards Watch:

The movie is a solid watch overall but has a very messy story. The subplots aren't well integrated into the movie.

It's not a comedy. At all. Even Clooney himself said it isn't a comedy. This lines up with what people who saw the Cinemacon footage said.

One character's screentime in tags:

Spoiler

Oscar Isaac is only in the movie for two scenes but plays a very pivotal role.

Is this another Coen’s film that they think isn’t good enough for them to do themselves so they just pass it off to someone else?

The original script has been around since 1986. That's honestly a big red flag; it's not like this is Terry Gilliam trying to make Don Quixote.

Why do I get the feeling it's gonna have like a C- Cinemascore?

If Paramount continues mismarketing this and the reviews are meh, I suppose it's possible. I don't think this will hit a 3x anymore given the November marketplace.
