Star Wars flopped in India. It isn't a big franchise in the country.

Perhaps casting a huge Indian actor in a Hollywood film would help increase the box office on India.

Apart from The Jungle Book, have films like Lion or Slumdog Millionaire done well in India.

A competent or mildly interesting effort that will usually feature at least five worthwhile moments?

or

an admirable effort that aficionados of the genre will probably find quite watchable?

or

remarkable one way or another, yet also flirts with the humdrum or the half-assed?

:)

Yes to all of them. lol.

Did it have the same amount of opening days?

I expected it to open much bigger though since it had pretty great legs there.

Yeh it opened on Friday, so it's a 3 day number.

Tomorrow (Mon) is also a bank holiday here in the U.K. So it should be a huge day.

So glad for that. An extra day to get acclimated before returning to work. Plus, already have our GOTG2 IMAX tickets for tomorrow morning.

Wtf Latin Lover

Amazing incredible out of this world shocking increase for Get Out. Im speechless.

The 4 big box office stories this weekend are a Spanish movie opening to #2, an Indian movie opening to 10M in just 450 theaters, Get Out increasing on its 10th weekend and "Family" cracking 1B WW. A good showcase weekend for diversity at the box office.

April 2017 actually broke record! 2nd Quarter is off to a good start, next month looks to be decent but not enough to top 2013. June looks to be on par with 2015. July looks strong. While August will probably die.

Can we talk about that Get Out number for a sec? It rose 3 percent. In its tenth weekend.

And yeah, Universal added 600 screens, so I seriously doubt they're doing anything to cut its legs @davincicode1

to me, the theater count cut too much back in march due to stiff competition, leading get out PTA be actually much higher, now universal has added back to some venue as sort of"compensation".

With this, we can't argue that universal pull out the film from theater by force

Wow, just got a TV spot for The Circle which quotes a lot of publications - but not reviews. Instead it is "Watch the movie Rolling Stone calls one of the most anticipated of the year"

They should get quotes from the BOT forums for advertising.

"See the movie @MrPink remarks made him jizz 10 times" will be a favorite during Dunkirk's advertising stage.

I'm not one to agree with Davinci on anything, really, but we should all be happy that black filmmakers are being given opportunities like this. Ditto Ava DuVernay / A Wrinkle in Time next year.

Of course.
