kayumanggi
Also look by Sunday for a humongous opening worldwide day-and-date this weekend on an estimated 7,700 prints everywhere except for handful of markets (which include Spain, Italy, South Africa, Japan, South Korea, Venezuela. The first international numbers coming in from Australia scored a huge $1.8 million (USD) on 471 screens, which was bigger than the debuts down under for Iron Man ($1.0M) and Quantum Of Solace ($1.0M). I’ve learned that Australia number went up a big +20% the next day – which is unusual. My goodness.

Robertron
After a Thursday opening, most major movies decrease on Friday, then increase on Saturday significantly, then face a slight drop on Sunday.THG is looking to drop only on Sunday, and only slightly. Ball Lightning
BD1 made 12,108,308, in its outing. With my cinema's numbers THG is making more then BD1, however we were really low compared to the rest of the circuit for that (yet one of the biggest for DH2), and I'm not sure how THG is going elsewhere.Sunday is crazy busy too! A Marvel Fanboy
One of the THG main actors comes from AU, which should help a little with its great performence there.
pinocchio
I really want to see how this performs OS. It won't even be close to the domestic gross.
A Marvel Fanboy
Maybe half of DOM.
CJohn
Such a shame. I would love to see this go big OS too. I hope CF does 400M+ OS. Edited March 25, 2012 by CJohn
lab276
Japan will definitely be the most interesting market. I think it could pull some respectable grosses, but Battle Royale will obviously be a huge factor there.
CJohn
I am just sad because this won't beat the 1st Twilight here. Scumbag Portugal.
pinocchio
You really don't like your country regarding box office, isn't it?
CJohn
You really don't like your country regarding box office, isn't it? I hate it so much. Piracy is gigantic and the few box office hits are movies like Twilight. Nuff said. And not only about box office, I hate my country overall, but that is another story... pinocchio
What domestic/overseas ratio will it reach in the end? Something like 50/50? I think this is rather optimistic based on the probably huge domestic gross and the "meh" numbers from Germany, France and so on we have seen so far. CJohn
60/40 is more realistic, IMO.
