pinocchio
If it really breaks out domestic -- what some posters believe -- this will surely have an impact OS.

John Marston
If it really breaks out domestic -- what some posters believe -- this will surely have an impact OS.Don't see what domestic has anything to do with it. There have been films that broke out domestic and did tepidly overseas
cozmeesah
That sounds so lame. What does it even mean?It has many meanings. Impossible to explain without insanely spoiling the whole series. The basest definition is that a Mockingjay is a bird. But that's just the beginning.
Heretic
500,000 copies of The Hunger Games trilogy of books have been sold in Australia.http://www.heraldsun...f-1226298677393That's pretty good considering Australia's population is about a third of UK's and the books have sold have as much. Anyone know Twilight's book sales in these two countries before the first movie opened?BBC news yesterday said The Hunger Games has sold over a million copies in the UK. iceroll
Has Lionsgate even advertised this in other countries? It's done an amazing job domestically but maybe they just don't know how to do it in other countries. None of their movies have caught on overseas before. Heretic
$ Yeah definitely. It could potentially get as high as $40m...but I'll stay more conservative and say nearer 30m.
SchumacherFTW
Lionsgate normally sell off pretty much all the OS rights usually. The main exception here was Saw I think.
pinocchio
Don't see what domestic has anything to do with it. There have been films that broke out domestic and did tepidly overseasIf it really breaks out domestic it will make worldwide news. They push the brand name Hunger Games worldwide, it seems. Even in France their website is:http://www.thehungergames.fr/So, if they have good news they will sell it fast and aggressive which will help the B.O.
