Fantastic Beasts Pulse Tuesday Until 2 p.m. 5.986 tickets across all formats.

Fantastic Beasts Pulse Monday Until 2 p.m. 3.023 tickets across all formats.

Seems like a nice increase BUT, there are screenings today so that's a nice little disclaimer. If the comparison remains the same till the end of the day, it will end Tuesday with 17.734 tickets. Comparisons are above considering that @TalismanRing counts all formants and we have the same source. (http://akvalley.pythonanywhere.com/static/Fandango_track.txt)

You can see breakdown by day, tomorrow it will be easier to compare:

As one can see, even though there were only six showings, 39% of tonight's sales were for the Limited Showings.  Subtract that, and the total is still very close to Solo's (242 v 236).  Not sure what to make of that, tbh.  Be interested to see if Wed/Thr daily sale total is now depressed slightly relative to Solo since these tickets are now 'already in the bank' or if they'll be more like 'extra' showings where everything gets bumped up slightly (some Thr viewers went to Tue and some F/St/Su viewers went to prime seats now available on Thur).

Could make a case either way.  I suspect, and this is only a suspicion, that this isn't a complete wash, as someone who is on the fence on buying a ticket Friday versus Thursday might be swayed by a good seat being available.  Don't know if it'll be a huge factor though.

Be interesting to find out one way or the other. 👍

If I read this right, about 25% of tickets for Tuesday showings were sold on Tuesday:

Fantastic Beasts The Crimes of Grindelwald	2018-11-13	TUE	1662	2018-11-13
Fantastic Beasts The Crimes of Grindelwald	2018-11-13	TOTAL	6622	---

So that is 1662 that you might want to subtract from the number above, as far as predicting the technical "OW" goes (of course these Tuesday tickets will probably be included in the OW anyway).

Tues FB2 had previews unlike any of the other movies.

See a similar jump for ASIB for it's early Wed previews and how Wed #s were even higher than Thur #s when it had full previews.

I'd be shocked if they weren't.

Also what's up with that Wednesday showing in there?  Some theater showing FB2 on Wed somewhere in the US?

No going to happen to FB2.

If you see after 9.00pm start to sell better.

Any way I think is going to do well

If I remember right, ASIB had huge presales, surpassing Venom hour by hour many times, so maybe this comparision is not ridiculous.

Fb2 Presales for tuesday were lower than ASIB's presales for wed, 6624 vs 7443 and ASIB did $1.4m there. Imax and 3D will help but I don't expect much higher number for FB2 tuesday.

On the other side, FB2 has already surpassed ASIB's total presales for thursday previews.
