Paramount are pretty desperate, they have a promotion going with Regal where if you watch all of Mother, Suburbicon, Daddys Home 2 and Downsizing in theaters, you will get the digital copy of the movies for free upon release.

Guess what we will never know is how much Regal is subsidizing

They haven't killed her off yet? A shame because her talents can be used in much better projects.

No, they haven't, and it doesn't seem like they will anytime soon. Nick, Alicia and Madison seem to be very well protected plot armor wise.

Random question, but does anyone know where to find those comScore social media trackers? Thinking of using it for a research project

Variety posts the top 10 weekly. Just Google "Variety social media buzz", and you'll find them.

Disney did the same thing last year, with Zootopia, Jungle Book, Alice, Dory, BFG and Pete's. Were they desperate?

Are we really arguing that Paramount, Sony and Lionsgate aren't in the shit here?

No, but I think it's unfair to chastise them over a Regal deal, when Disney did the same thing...twice (this year, they did the same thing with Guardians, Pirates, and Cars)

Agreed - they seem to have decided those 3 will be the core like Rick and Daryl are the core of TWD...no way either of those 2 die til the very last episode...

Deep Wang Updates:

- AA has sold a bit more than Mother, but both have sold less than half of what Atomic Blonde and Dark Tower were at

- Kingsman and Ninjago both have decent sales, don't have any comps for either, will have a better idea on Monday

- Thor 3 is off the pace of Guardians, but really hard to comp it since there are no Marvel comps for tickets being on sale this early. Guardians 2 had already sold about 20% more 4 days after tickets went on sale than Thor 3 has a week after tickets went on sale. (Say Thor is at 1M a week after presales went live, Guardians 2 was at 1.2M 4 days after presales went live - not actual numbers) Should have better comps once we hit mid-October and the other Marvel movie presales come in.

Sales for both openers rising as expected.

Fandango: AA - 59 sales in 4 min or 14.75/min  and  Mother! - 41 sales in 4 min or 10.25/min

-AA roughly at the rate of Hitman's Bodyguard at a similar time

I'm at 21/min for AA and 14/min for Mother! at 6:30pm EST.  Seems decent enough vs Hitman

So are Sony, Lionsgate, Universal, and Disney all desperate as well?  Because all 5 of them have done a similar deal, and it wouldn't surprise me to see Warner and Fox do a deal like that in the future.

Kind of weird that they would cast an actor for AA for a movie that the majority of his fanbase cannot watch

Dylan O'Brien is trying to break out from YA-centric fare, probably. Will be interesting to see how the last Maze Runner fares: The Scorch Trials decreased by quite a bit when everyone expected it to stay flat or increase and feels like it came out a very long time ago (though to be fair, his injury forced it to be delayed), especially with how the YA genre has really died down since then (The Hunger Games ended with heavily diminished interest while the Divergent franchise completely imploded and will remain unfinished).

A really do not know anything about that fandom and the show, but It is R, everyone can see it accompanied. and Teen wolf started in 2011, everyone that was 11 or more when it started can buy a ticket now.
