Tomorrow at my theater for Coco:

10:30: 62/78

11:45: 29/69

1:30 3D: 2/78

2:45 3D: 0/69

4:30: 35/78

5:45 3D: 0/69

7:30 3D: 8/78

8:45 3D: 0/69

10:30: 4/78

Total: 140/666

I don't have any good comparisons, but this looks pretty strong considering that 3D is the only option for peaks hours.

Jeez, this might be one of the few theaters that prioritize 3D like it's 2010.

How tomorrow looks at my theater:

  Reveal hidden contents

JL: 251/1,791

Wonder: 100/390

OE: 37/486

DH212/491

The Star: 10/468

Thor: 6/423

Bad Moms: 4/360

Madea: 2/78

Goddamn, JL looks fucking pitiful during the day. The total day is running at 84% of Thor, but when you narrow it down to showings before 7 PM, it's only at 54% of Thor. Fucking hell.

Wonder is a fucking BEAST. This is at 133% of OE and 233% of DH2

The Star is 45% of Ninjago and 67% of MLP. I don't know if I should bump my 5M prediction up 1 or 2M.

So Coco 3d is dead here...9 tickets sold for show in 8 minutes at one local and 13 tickets sold for the other one...early shows probably sold about 2/3rd of their theater size in 2d (didn't do an exact count) - not sellouts, but not awful...although looking at the sales, you wouldn't think this was a Pixar movie, but a regular decent animated opener, since normally Pixar draws a large adult audience, but this one didn't for these later shows...although I guess Moviepass holders can only buy 2d, so they can't grab these open seats...

Southern California is selling very well right now for CoCo.  Full prices $12.99 showings just as packed as Discount Tuesday $6.00 showings.

CA sure to be a huge chunk of sales for this. Texas likely #2 and #3 far less than that

A quick look at theaters around my area I’m seeing Coco selling crazy well, which is expected since it’s San Antonio.

One of these days I’m gonna start doing my own theater reports/sell out counts and stuff.

Very tight market right now...so many movies doing well in box office that small theaters just have to let some go...

I wonder since Thor had 4,080 locations it was forced to shed alot of theaters.  The thing I am wondering about is if Daddy's Home 2 and Murder on the Orient Express get more rights to show their screenings since they have been out 1 week shorter.
