Welcome to the madhouse! What a time to join. The April 26-28 weekend thread should be a blast!

That gives me a though: For those who have been here for awhile, what would you say was the most fun weekend thread? Jurassic World? Black Panther? TFA?

BP for me. You always remember your first  :ph34r:

I think it will detroned in a week though.

Nope.  That's why I'm still a little skeptical of them hitting that date.

Well, I guess I can stop being skeptical:  https://www.cinemawest.com/location?house_id=49047 :ph34r:

Tickets are probably  going on sale tomorrow near as I can tell from comments elsewhere.  If not tomorrow, Real Soon Now*.

* and I don't mean by Thr. ;)

===

Checked out the place earlier today, BTW.  Looks pretty nice, actually.  Little confusing as they have giant signage at the front  of the mall but the actual theater (with more signage) is in the back.  Unless there are corridors connecting everything and/or the theater does connect to the front of the mall.

Couldn't quite tell as there was still construction going on.  But overall looked like a fun place to catch a flick. 👍

That “Now Hiring” text really fills me with confidence for their launch. After all, they’ll get an entire day of ironing out the kinks before American cinema’s first 90M+ single day comes along :rofl:

PS. Can anyone tell me how to embed this? Every time I try to use the Insert Other Media - Insert image from URL, the link just goes red and nothing happens.

It needs a jpg or gif on the end.  Right click the image and copy image location then just paste in the main box.   The others will hav to click the image to get the full size since this board downscales every embedded image to 500px width.

NOTE: If a theater locally that is now selling tickets for reserved seating was selling them for the above movies, but as non-reserved seating for that movie, it is not counted toward the ratio of 'as many tickets sold' for the movie in question.  If a theater is brand new to the region and wasn't yet open for one of the above movies, however, it will be counted toward the ratio. It will also be counted toward the ratio if it was playing in more theaters locally.

I admit it IS curious.  When Regal Delta Shores opened up around the time of AWiT's bow, they actually had a soft launch that Tuesday with some special showings of various classic movies.  Presumably to work out some of the kinks.

When I showed up on AWiT's opening Friday  (their first day of showing first-run movies) they... Well let's just say that they still had some teething problems and leave it at that. And as we all know, AWiT didn't exactly light the box office on fire.

They've turned out to be a really good theater, actually. One that has my stamp of approval.  But, just... I dunno.

All snark and joking aside, I suspect that as long as the popcorn machine doesn't break down and the soda dispensers work (along with the itty bitty little things TalismanRing mentioned ;)most folks will probably be understanding of the situation and take whatever hiccups occur in stride.

At least I would hope they would.   Because if folks don't take things in stride, this could be a snapshot of things to come:

NGL, I could!  I will check again in the morning.  I am not working off Fandango.  I'm working off of my Atom app.  It's faster to work off two screens.  Are you counting the Thursday showings after 12AM?  Cause I have those rolled into Friday.  ETA:  When you pull up the App it has 40 Showings (+1 Fan Event) available, but only 33 of those they're counting as Thursdays.
