Holy fuck Pikachu today.  Tracking this movie has been such a pleasure seeing it go up and up has been incredible. In total today Detective Pikachu sold a whopping 39 tickets which is exactly what it needed for tomorrow, John Wick sold 6 tickets and hit 100, and Aladdin had another day selling 0 tickets which is...worrisome.

I'd talk about the obvious slow down but FFH started so early and it's...it's classic midnights. I'm shocked it hit 50 this early seeing how in two days it's only 19 tickets behind Aladdin.

It’s weird, because the spreadsheet which sums every hour is at 13028 and appears to be completed (48 entries)

 

@CoolEric258 Is it normal to see see such a discrepancy between the rolling counter and manually summing them? I’ve never paid close attention but a 742 (~6%) difference between the two trackers seems rather high

I calculate it at 23:00 hours which I assume is the hour between 11 and 12 Chicago time and thus the last hour of the 24 hour tracker because my assumption is that it’s from 12AM to 12AM

As for KotM, it has now sold 106 tickets in the first two days of pre pre-sales.

 

Comparatively, FB2 sold 71 tickets in more or less the same period of time.

 

So KotM is clearly doing better, but there are a couple of caveats (aren't their always).  This time around, KotM is at two of the big sellers in town while FB2 was only at one of them.  It also is in a few more theaters at the same point in time.

 

On the other hand, at this stage of dawn, pre pre-sales are pre pre-sales, meaning in my mind the ultra die-hards would look for just about any port in the storm.  This is supported by that sale of 27 tickets sold for FB2 at one of the less-trafficked theaters in the region last year.

 

More to the point, FB2 sold a grand total of 103 tickets in its pre pre-sale phase while KotM has already passed that.

 

So I have to conclude that it's doing better than FB2 did in a similar period.  How much better I'll leave for debate.
