How's Annabelle looking?

It’s sold 137 tickets at my theater for tomorrow. I don’t have any horror comps, but Pikachu sold 280 for it’s previews night. I’m guessing Tuesday will come in around $3.5 million.

That's only .5 mil less than Annabell Creation. I'm guessing around 45 mil for the 5 day?

I know there will be some people who hate this statement, but thank god for Disney!
This summer's box office would have been dreadful without Endgame, Aladdin, Toy Story 4 and The Lion King (and might as well throw in Far From Home as well as it wouldn't have been possible without Disney's cooperation with the MCU)

Seriously, the summer's highest grossing flick would have probably been Calvin and Hobbs or whatever the hell that Fast and Furious spinoff is called....

John Wick is about the only other break out so far, and it's not even from one of the major studios.

Yup, this. This isn't become I'm some Disney stan either. It's just an objective truth. Where would the box office be this year without Disney?

Really wish MT was fixed now to compare TLK:TS4 sales today. You can look at the Fandango TS4:TLK ratio after 24 hours, but the capping might skew that picture a fair bit.

Once Wang drops in we’ll have a pretty good idea of total PS $, and can update from there based on Pulse.

Maybe the message they'll take away is "make better movies" (since most of these flops had it coming) but I doubt it.

Very similar trend to FFH which had ~8600 after 7 hours. That finished with 13,600 for its first day, so I'm guessing TLK will get around 15k.

I’m inclined to believe that TLK will have much better presales/ow ratio and will be more backloaded than a MCU Spider-Man sequel following Endgame.Obviously the rush to book tickets for FFH will be greater than TLK.

Yes, agreed. I was just using that to project the final daily number lol.
