This seems pretty good for joker tbh cause it’s only had a week of presales and all those other movies had at least a month. I understand presales have gone up year by year and that Aquaman was a holiday movie but still seems pretty decent for joker.

AEG Monday (actually very late Sunday)  - $4.98m  -

IT Part 2 (Monday) - $23.428m

TLK: $31.966m

 

You can see that IT2 was more late walk up heavy than OUATIA and TLK was more walk up heavy than IT2 and far more walk up heavy than OUATIH (would have done $13.83m using TLK comps)

 

But in sold seats it's already ahead of XMen: DP, Godzilla2  and near OATIH 's Thur numbers which did $5 - 6.3m in previews

Just b/c a theater gives a movie more screens doesn't mean walks up will be commensurate. Genre and patterns matter more

 

JL had the same amount of showings in NYC as GOTG2 and 25% more than WW and about 10% more than SMHC and Thor R

HUGE increase today. Easily surpasses IT 2's daily increase, though I had to do that count a few hours early. But the lead is big enough that those few hours probably wouldn't close the gap. Looking at Aurora's numbers for IT 2 on Wednesday and Thursday, I'd guesstimate that the comp would adjust to high 7M - low 8M. And for TLK, somewhere in the low to mid 7M. Just two days until I'll actually be able to adjust!

The presales in Greece are very very good and encouraging.It sells like a huge summer tent pole with a very high price tag.I didn’t bother to count since every showing in the country’s biggest theater chain is like 90%+ full and those who aren’t are sold out.In each bear sold out showing only the front rows are available but I expect them to turn red early tomorrow.

Curious if that's final numbers for Wick 3 or not.  Unless the wording is nailed down precisely, I'm always a little skeptical of articles that are based on, presumably, company PR blasts.

I don’t think being under John wick matters cause obviously IT2 was under John wick 3 and that opened over John wick as well. Did that company run some special with John wick? Is that why they had such high presales.

- a buy one get one free on Atom tickets for 4 weeks before

- T-Mobile deal 3 weeks before 

- 5$ ticket 2 weeks before

- 5$ off the week of release
