I think his 30m number is in reference to all pre-sales in addition to previews

Well that was a different extrapolation method, and was also all presales as opposed to just Thursday. It's possible my multiplier of Cinemark sales to nationwide is off for some reason (I'm not sure why that would be), but I'm reasonably confident that the 68% of Endgame is correct.

 

Edit: That was also from MT which is a very, very rough indicator. Looking at various datasets I find it hard to believe that Endgame did only $30 million overall on day 1. It's not normal for AMC to make up 50% of presales, and I  In fact for TROS AMC is barely 1.5x Cinemark, and adding Regal would almost certainly push it below 50% even without factoring in various smaller chains.

A 2-year gap in Atom means I basically have no idea if this is good or bad. I'd have been surprised if it landed anywhere but this spot.

The fact Aquaman is there shows how fast Atom is growing . Endgame is the only  valid comparison since both 2019

Pretty sure Atom had the exclusive advance screenings for Aquaman, that is why it's up there.

Even then, after AEG Atom has grown, though it lost Regal, it gained Cinemark and several Independents.  They're also doing this promo
