Yeah, not anything exciting, but still at least gaining from day to day in the comps. At the very least, this isn't turning out like Dolittle so far. But yeah, I'm much more excited for Birds of Prey tomorrow than I am for this.

Guess Birds of Prey tickets aren't gonna drop yet. Fandango is promoting Call of the Gosh-Dang Wild on their homepage instead of this. Very odd strategy WB is doing with their DC films. God help me if Wonder Woman goes through the same thing.

Aren't they gonna drop on the 29th? Seems like you can already buy tickets at cinemark (don't think it was bought online though) according @zeb1814

Indeed, it's lamentable that a few people decided to begin dispersing the data around the web, including subtleties that ought not to have been open. A few people were taking the presale information to different discussions and tweeting to theater CEOs and the client would not like to get in a tough situation.

Quick check just at MTC1 for new openers. Numbers suck but its higher than where Turning was last week but below Gentlemen. But its all about what these movies do on thursday.

I'll say this: it has been on a constant uptick, and @keysersoze123's tracking indicates breakout as well, so maybe we will see those numbers that were being projected. I mean, all that stands in the way is wom.

I'm wondering what sort of internal multiplier this movie will get. Pikachu was pretty frontloaded for a family film (sub 10x). Sonic doesn't have as much of a large fanbase but I don't think it will have more than a 12x IM. I think it would need about 3.3-3.5 mil in previews to do 40 mil OW.

This sounds more entertaining than Gretel & Hansel tbh.

Cinemark sent emails out today saying that tickets go on sale Thursday? So they really are settling on 1 week of presales... 🤷‍♂️

I can tell having tracked past 4 months that most of the action happens on OD of PS and final week(Mon-Thu). So having a short window in itself not a negative. Occasional Endgame/Star Wars etc benefit from long cycles as ticket sales are so big that you need longer window to spread out.
